Love Notes - Friday 2/4/11

Check out these great reads about LOVE from around the web this week.

Have a fab weekend!

On the CurvyGurl Chronicles, check out this thought-provoking piece called A Soulful Relationship by Rev. Ronald McFadden:
"Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone, don't let lust, desperation, immaturity, ignorance, pressure from others or a low self-esteem, make you blind to warning signs. Over at For Harriet, Keisha McLean gives us a healthy reality check on  Are We Looking For the Right Things in a Man?:

You must read this beautiful poem by LaKesha Womack called I Shield My Heart to Heal My Heart.   Haven't we all been there?
"...I hear the words, read the messages but don’t trust the sender.  I say the words, send the message but don’t trust myself.   I want the dream but don’t live the reality..." Read more

Marriage is about growing. Happiness will accompany you at times along the way, but it’s not the ultimate goal.    And second: your growth – your responsibility; your spouse’s – theirs. When you keep this in mind you realize that all you can control in a relationship is yourself..." Read more
